Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Costume Construction & Wardrobe, the Wardrobe Attendant will be required to:
Perform all functions and duties as assigned to assist the department with maintaining costumes and accessories in a safe and consistent manner.
Perform wardrobe cue tracks, dresser functions and launder the costumes.
Wash and care for highly specialized costumes, headpieces, shoes and accessories as well as preserve the long-term integrity of all costume items and accessories.
Make quick repairs to costumes and accessories as directed.
Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events and rehearsals.
Adhere to all company and departmental safety policies with emphasis on maintaining a safe working environment.
Adhere to all OSHA regulations.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Experience / Education:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three (3) years' experience working as Wardrobe Attendant or in a similar position for a large-scale theatrical or production show.
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the care of costumes and backstage dressing procedures.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Must be highly organized and able to function in a stressful environment.
Must be able to manage, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
Must possess strong problem solving and time management skills.
Must be able to work well under pressure and adapt to changes quickly.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others and develop positive interpersonal relationships with coworkers.
Must work well in a team environment.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule (evenings, weekends and holidays).
Must have the ability to work with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds.
Knowledge of OSHA health and safety protocols is required.
Must have a current OSHA 10 General Industry Safety Card.
